The Old Schoolhouse in Clashmore is the place to be next Saturday night, start time is at 8:00 pm and be sure to be early as this is going to be a sellout with two popular acts, Mara Levine & Gathering Time coming together for this one night. Mara Levine
Folksinger and jewelry designer Mara Levine has been creating beautiful interpretations of fine traditional and contemporary folk songs for many years and singing professionally as a member of various ensembles and as a hired harmony vocalist since 2002.
Her songs range from traditional, to those by songwriter greats of the 1960s and ‘70s. Mara will be sharing a show with Gathering Time who provide four part harmony vocals on her arrangements.
Gathering Time
Listen to the 1960s folk tradition of Peter, Paul & Mary, a folk-rock/Americana harmony trio that has been turning heads for nearly a decade on the folk circuit and beyond.
To date, Gathering Time has had a record five juried showcases at NERFA (Tricentrics in 2009 and ’10, a Formal in 2011, a mini-NERFA showcase in 2013 and a Quad in 2015); they were one of the three Emerging Artists at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in 2012 voted “Most Wanted” to return in 2013.
Gathering Time’s most recent release, Keepsake, swept the Folk DJ charts in March 2016, debuting at #1 with ‘Who Knows Where the Time Goes’ the #1 song, five more songs in the Top 25, and Gathering Time the #1 artist for the month.
